My name is Joel Adkins and I have been an education technologist for 13 years.

My degree is in English and I have had no formal training in technology. I did take the "Computer Literacy" class in 1987 but that is the extent to any classes in technology I have ever taken.

As a teacher, I taught at the middle school and freshman level in the subjects of Technology Applications, Web Mastering, Digital Graphics & Animation, and Multimedia. Without the background for knowing the subject matter, courses were taught collaboratively by students and teacher.

I am consistently learning, unlearning and relearning in my job as a technology enthusiast and Chief Technology Officer for a school district.
