Ubuntu & Mint Help and Links

So, I'm not much of a computer expert, which is why I have chosen to use Ubuntu as a Windows alternative.  It's fairly user friendly, powerful and features decent compatibility.

The on-line support is very extensive and you can find almost anything.

Below are some links, etc that I have found

The truth of it is, many of us can't live without having Windows or a Mac OS.  I  am quickly finding that it is just as tough sometimes to live without my Ubuntu machine.

It is getting to the point that most average users could get by just fine without windows at all.

Ubuntu is free.  When a new version comes out you get it for free.

There is a lot of free programs that are compatible with Microsoft and Mac programs, in many cases there is better alternatives available for Ubuntu.

Hope this page helps.

Trouble installing & using web apps in 11.10?  There isn't a version of Prism available for Ubuntu 11.10.  Hopefully this is added soon.  https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/+source/prism
