Welcome to the adventure of a lifetime, Middle School. A solid education is beneficial for success in life and our goal is to prepare our students for success. This year students will be pushed to reinforce their basic math skills and master 6th grade standards. This will be done through homework, classwork, and constant assessments in order to prove the progress each student is making.

HOMEWORK-  Homework counts as a significant part of the quarterly grade. It helps reinforces what we learned in class, offers needed extra practice, gives me a good overview of the class's understanding of concept, and helps students develop a healthy work ethic.   Click here for all available homework and due dates.

Homework is graded on a 4 point scale, with 4 being the highest. It is graded on effort, not accuracy. If it is turned in late one point is deducted from the assignment. So if a student turns in a homework assignment one day late they can recieve a 3 on the homework.

CLASSWORK- Classwork is the students chance to practice what we have learned in class with supervision and support. This allows me to give them immediete feedback on their work, and to correct any misunderstandings. Their notebooks will be looked at every week to make sure they are keeping up on their notes and classwork.

If a student is absent it is their responsability to go to a classmate or teacher, and pick up what they missed. This includes quizzes, homework, notes, and any other papers we worked on.

MASTERY TIME- Students are given a chance every week to prove what they have mastered. Students can become experts, masters, or progressing in any math standard.
