Fun facts for the week of July 28, 2008:

- Often rocks are found in crocodiles' stomachs. It is believed these rocks help them digest their food.
- Crocodiles are good parents.
- Young crocs stay with their moms for about two years.
- Mother crocs pick up their babies with their teeth and hold them in a sac in their lower jaw.
- Crocodiles in the wild usually live about 45 years.
- Nile crocodiles live on the continent of Africa (which we think is in the southern hemisphere).

- A kangaroo can jump as long as 30 feet in 1 single leap.
- A sailfish can swim as fast as a car on the highway.
- A rhinoceros beetle can lift 30 times the size of itself.
- A booby bird can dive 50 feet above the air into the water to catch fish.
