I grew up in Wabash County in Northern Indiana. I graduated from Wabash High School in 1996. I attended Defiance College my freshman year while participating in football and baseball. I then transferred to Purdue University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2007, I received my Master of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Two years later, I received my license in All School Supervision from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Prior to working at Loper, I was an assistant principal and athletic director at Batchelor Middle School in Bloomington. I was also a 5th grade teacher in Franklin Township in Indianapolis. I taught 5th grade for eight years and coached varsity baseball at Franklin Central High School and middle school football at Franklin Township Middle School for seven years.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Allison. We were married in 2003 and have a son named Brody. My wife is a 5th grade teacher in Franklin Township in Indianapolis. I am an avid sports fan and golfer. When I am not at school, chances are you will find me cheering for the Colts, Yankees, Celtics, and the Indiana Hoosiers! There is also a good chance that you might see me on a local golf course during the golfing season.
I am very excited to be the assistant principal at Loper Elementary. Loper is a wonderful school that prepares students to be successful, and I could not be happier about having the opportunity to work there.
