Tips for Doing Homework

Tips for Students

Use A Homework Calendar (if you forget, you can check this website too)

If the teacher assigns no homework, don’t just leave your diary blank. A blank entry could mean no homework, or it could mean you forgot to write the assignment in your diary. Instead, write something like “Science: No HW”. That way, there’s no confusion.

Take good notes

Identify a location for doing homework that is free of distractions.

Have all materials available and organized

Develop a sequential plan for completing large assignments

Check work for accuracy and completion before turning in.

Keep Track of Your Grades

Tips for Parents

Ask about homework daily

Check the class website for any updates on class news.
