Talleres (workshops in English) are elective classes integrated into the school schedule for all students in the high school. Students rotate through the electives throughout their years in secondary, and have exposure to each of the different disciplines.
There are two different types: performance and vocational. The performance talleres include music, dance, theatre, art and ceramics. The vocational talleres include computer, tailoring, printing, electronics and journalism. Miguel Pro uses a mix of contracted and full time teachers for electives. Ceramics Tailoring  Our elementary level students also take part in different electives. Music, ceramics, English, physical education and computer classes accompany the students regular academics throughout the week. Many elementary students participate with secondary students in our orchestra and choir. |
