MPC HOPE Ministry

Ministry Needs

If you want to partner with the HOPE Ministry Steering Team, click the HOPE Ministry Partner link and register your availability.  Please consider the following needs that the team has identified:

Report Job Leads

If you are aware of openings in your place of employment or elsewhere, please report a job lead through this website.

One-to-One Support Advocates

This role is important for the effectiveness of the HOPE Ministry.  One-to-One Advocates are paired with job seekers or their spouses.  They initiate weekly contact to offer encouragement.  They also serve an important networking function, linking the seeker/spouse with appropriate assistance from the HOPE Ministry Steering Team.

Childcare Providers During HOPE meetings or Interviews

We encourage members of MPC to make themselves and their homes available for this facet of the ministry. A person receiving care from the HOPE Ministry may need childcare during meetings or a a job interview.  This kind of care is wide open for God to do something amazing!  Perhaps a child has a sports activity when a ministry event is scheduled or a job interview is offered.  The childcare provider might consider taking the child to his or her event and being a surrogate fan!  We request that childcare for these reasons be offered without charge.

Attorneys

If you can guide people on issues related to securing unemployment benefits, this would be tremendously helpful.
