Greetings and welcome to the Office of the Youth Governor!

Founded in 1949, the Missouri YMCA Youth In Government Program provides the unique opportunity to step into the role of Missouri’s elected government to young people from around our state. YIG is both an educational experience and a life-changing one, which allows students in grades 8-12 to learn more about Missouri state government through hands-on participation in the legislative, judicial, executive, print press, video news, and lobbyist programs at the Model State Government Convention in December.

I invite you to utilize this site to stay informed of the happenings of the program. Here you will find updated press releases distributed by our communications department, the contact information of my staff, and much more.

YIG means so many different things to so many different people, but at the very least it means something.
