| BeachReach Mission Trip Updates
March 6th Our group left BeachReach on Friday! What a great trip. We spent the night at FBC, Gardendale, Alabama. Everyone had a great time talking and playing basketball. But soon hit the sack for the second half of the trip down to Panama City Beach, FL.
March 7th What a great travel day! We left Gardendale after breakfast and traveled through Birmingham, Montgomery, Elba, Samson, and then into Florida until we finally arrived at PCB.....ON TIME!! (I know for those of you who know MO, we're not usually on time...But he kept a good schedule). Things were a little crazy at check in. BeachReach is not at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center as in the past years. This year we are at the Majestic---right in the middle of that strip and craziness. But to be honest, it been amazing how God is protecting us! The moment we pulled up a beer can came flying from above (evidently someone thought it would be funny to toss it from this 24 story building). Quite a shocker, but clearly GOD WAS PROTECTING US! We have even see God's provision through traveling. As I mentioned everything was great on the drive down, but when we got here we got a flat. Everything is alright. The church bus has dual rear tires. We are going to have someone fix it on Monday. Its amazing, though, what God is going to do this week. A total of 300+ is down here with BeachReach...God is moving in this Generation!
The two previous updates were written today...really tonight. Our group is preparing to go to prayer ministry. Worship and orientation has been great. I am so thankful for a group of student that are focused on the purpose for the week. If you are reading this and are a parent, you can be proud of how God is working in your child's life. :) If you are a former BeachReacher, you know what the first night is like. I want to ask two things of you this week: 1. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY 2. Visit the LIVE website that will give you REAL TIME updates on what's going on with the ministry. That website is: Our van names are *Van Gogh *Holy Roller *Christ Cab When you see the names, pray know that these are UT-Martin students sharing the Love of God with a lost generation! I'm hoping to put some pics up either tonight or tomorrow. Please come by often for updates. |
