Moving On Syracuse

Moving On is a volunteer organization that provides a safe environment for singles and singles again, to meet new people for friendship and support.  We offer a forum for the discussion of topics of interest of mature single persons who are ready to move on to new beginnings, and to setting new goals. Moving On is not a support group for people going through initial trauma of separation, divorce or widowhood.  They should see www.LousySpouse.com  and come back here when over the trauma and are ready to "Move on".  While members are free to date, it is not a dating service.  These functions are left to other groups. 

Meetings are held at 7:00 pm normally on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Bishop Harrison Center.   -[ Yahoo! MOOT - Dutch treat dinners at various area resturants are scheduled for the 4th Monday of the month. Click here  for more information and to reserve a seat.
 
 
Monday November 23 is the one special night when only walkers are allowed at Lights on the Lake.     Meet Lucretia and the Syracuse Area Outdoor Adventures Club at Heids at 7:15 pm.
 
 
     
 
Christmas Tree Lighting
 Black Friday November 27 at 7:00pm the Syracuse city Christmas tree will be lit in Clinton Square.   There is a city Hall open house afterwards.  Call Diane (315) 426-2880
 
 
 
Moving On The Town (MOTT)  are Dutch treat dinners.    The meals are ordered at promply at 6:30 pm.   Get there earlier to read the menu and have a drink

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thursday November 26 at 12:00 noon.   Don't eat Thanksgiving dinner alone.   Enjoy the buffet lunch at The Spinning Wheel, 7384 Thompson Road, North Syracuse NY. 5:30 pm Cocktails at the cash bar.
6:30 pm Dinner.  
 Meal choices are: 
  • Crab stuffed haddock - $19.00; 
  • Roast prime rib - $20.50 or
