6/11/23 update:
Fragballs are a thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx4SnmSB-6I

Website was offline, is now back online, but more broken than before.  The wayback machine has a pretty good copy here: https://web.archive.org/web/20220308120114/https://sites.google.com/site/mostlyharmlessarms/

I'll see if I can scrape it back from wayback machine and rehost it.

8/17/19 update:

I'll be stopping by the "Airway Days" fair, where my friend Matt Garcia is running a table (booth?  patch of grass?  Not sure, haven't seen it yet) and dropping off some blasters for people to try.

The homemade HAMP instructions can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/mostlyharmlessarms/currentprojects/hamp-singled

More homemade blaster instructions can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/mostlyharmlessarms/old-guns-versions

In other news, I finished a working prototype of the Echo, which is my next big project.  It uses a two stage trigger and a double breech system to load and fire 2 darts independently from each priming action.

Like most of my magazine fed blasters, a shotgun blast (2 actually) can be prepared simply by pumping the blaster once for each dart you want to load into the barrel.

7/5/2019 update:

Made my own 3d printed Talon magazine clone, based on Thanhlons.

Slightly updated the best Kanetana from 0.7 to 0.8, with a hole pattern change for better tool access.  0.8 is the one you should build if you do a Kanetana,

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3609969

Created Kanetana 0.9, which is sort of another crazy diversion like 0.3 was.  It's an air-operated breech system, which is cool, and kind of solves the safety problem illustrated in the 0.6 video below.

Don't try to build it unless you're a madman.

Finally got a video for Kanetana 0.6.

12/26/2018

I've been busy developing a fixed magazine system to replace hoppers without being dependent on 3rd party magazines for short darts.

The latest version is the Kanetana 0.7 on Thingiverse:  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3307637.  Versions 0.1, 0.2, and 0.6 have been successfully built into blasters, with videos for 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3

Hopefully I get caught up on the videos soon, as version 0.6 is now on a pump action crossbow and it's the dankest cheese.

Also, in case you missed them, I have a couple videos concerning the powerball katana mod, which tragically applies to the discontinued Dart Zone Powerball.

Files are on thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2838089

I also finally got around to doing a video with the BullPAC, which also has files (and fairly rigorous documentation) on thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:672304

It's a rather old blaster, but it's still one of my best.  Really the only problem with it is that it uses hoppers.

About time is did some website updating.  I've removed most of the broken image links, and warnings when linking to instructions with broken images.

I've been relatively busy on youtube lately, check out KaneTheMediocre's Youtube Channel.

??/??/??

Kane here again with another blaster with full auto attachments and ammo storage.  This is a PullSCRT at it's core.  The trigger is stiffer than the other pullSCRTs, so it's been used for various experiments on the pullSCRT platform.  At one point Ryan replaced the main hopper with a Demolisher missile turret.  (3/26/17)

Also, I've done a couple videos about the Plusblow series of magazine fed blowguns.  The blasters are an average of 4 years old, so it's not the hottest nerf technology to hit the streets, and it's a lot of me talking, so the video isn't the most exciting I've done.  However, if you're interested in novel feed mechanisms or a little bit of behind the scenes in Kane's brain, these are for you:

ALL of this stuff is for sale.  E-mail me at kanethetoymaker@gmail.com if you want to make an offer.  I will make MUCH better deals if you want to buy a few of the plusblows at once. (I can do 6x STAN guns in one 6x6x32" box) Talk to me if there's something you want fixed or changed, and we may work that out.  I'm looking to have a house that contains fewer blasters before I start building more again.

2-liter bottle and cheetos puff are for scale.

MHA has been idling a bit.  We're currently sold out of ESLTs and do not expect to make more.  We do have a couple new products that we hope to release this spring, and we can still provide other products listed in our store, but it's best to e-mail us at MHAToys@gmail.com with what you're looking for so that we can let you know when/what to expect, as we've been lagging with recent orders.

Welcome to the home of Mostly Harmless Arms.  Here you can find links to various writeups/instructions that RyanMcNumbers and KaneTheMediocre have created for homemade toy guns, as well as videos, news, and sales information.
