In Praise of my Kodak Brownie 127
In 1968 I was a student at St Martins College, studying Geography and Mathematics. My final dissertation in Geography lead me to make a study of Mossley. Handy for me, just a bus or bike ride away from my home in Oldham. Armed with my only camera, a trusty Kodak Brownie 127, I trudged around most of Mossley taking the standard black and white photos and a few colour ones.
My research lead me far and wide chatting to various folk from Mayors to Blacksmiths and Librarians.
I retrieved my study from college when I left, and it has sat on a shelf at home ever since!
I thought it might be useful to put the photos on the internet, for people to see how things have changed over the years. I have about 30 images which I will gradually add to this new site.
This is my other site, not related to Mossley.
Contact me at my other website if you need further information.
OOh! On the slideshow above a picture of St Budeaux Church Devon slipped in by mistake. I will remedy this soon.
