Mo C. Kery - Author of Satire

Welcome to my web page. I am Moses Carlton Kery (Mo C. Kery) "Mo" which is my nom de plume or pen name that I use in authorship of this work of parody and satire. The work is a novel Final Deadline: Foul Play without a Clue. Read it, and share your impressions--good, bad, or worse. I welcome (well, more or less) all reader's thoughts, comments, input, and opinions.

Synopsis of the Novel

The novel is a satire, a caricature of a murder mystery set in 1982. Historical allusion and multiple endings lampoon the popular “Choose your own adventure” genre of the same period. Although the novel is read from the first to the twenty-first chapter, no page flipping.

The mystery story is of a detective, Truman R. Klutz. The retired detective is called in after the death of millionaire industrialist Max Alldon, apparently by an overdose of a prescription medication. But there is one peculiar, suspicious circumstance. A few days before his death, Max Alldon had contacted his attorney about changing his will. Did someone poison Max Alldon before he could change his will? Or did Max Alldon commit suicide, or was it a tragic accident?

Each ending reflects an “alternate reality” in which different choices and character dynamics lead to different conclusions of the story. Names, places, and endings are each an ironic melodrama and parody to the intensity of a murder mystery.

Find your favorite ending, for the reader can decides if it was murder, suicide, an accident, or something else... ??? Whodunnit?
