The Next Series

Rick Riordan is writing a new Camp Half Blood Series! It will be about a new generation of demigods! We will see some of the old demigods, like Percy and Annebeth, but they won't be the main characters. It will be released in Winter 2010.

Rick Riordan has conformed that the next Camp Half Blood series will be centred around The Prophecy made by Rachel (AKA the oracle). Rick Riordan has also announced that we will see Anebeth's architecture in Olympus in this series.

"Seven half-bloods shall answer the call.
To storm or fire, the world must fall.
An oath to keep with final breath.
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death"

Our main lead about the next series it the prophecy, so we will do our best to analyse the prophecy.

Seven half-bloods shall answer the call.

This line is pretty self explanatory. It means that 7 half-bloods (demigods) will go to Camp Half Blood and go on a quest. We can be pretty sure that 3 of those Half-Bloods will be sons and daughters of the "Big Three". Why? because the "Big Three" are so powerful and their children are so powerful, that they have to be included on the quest. The other four could be children of any minor or major god or goddess, so we can't really predict accurately who will be the demigod's parents that go on the quest.

Rick Riordan has confirmed that the main characters will be a group of demigods. He has also announced that a son of Posidon will probably not be one of the seven.

To storm or fire, the world must fall.

The first thing that you think about after reading this line is that the world will end, ether because a fire destroyed it, or a storm destroyed it. But it could also mean that the world will fall to the god of storms (Zeus), or one of his demigod children; or the god of fire (Hephaestus of Hestia), or one of their demigod children. Typhon is called "The Storm Giant", so the world could also fall to Typhon. One person suggested that earth could refer to gaia or one of gaia's children.

An oath to keep with final breath.

This is simple. It probably means that someone swore on The River Styx, and they have to break it. When you swear on the River Styx, you are basically saying that I swear upon my life. If you break you're oath, you die. If you're a immortal you go to Tartus. You can break the oath, however. There is no magic binding you to carry out you're oath. You just die. Therefore, the "An oath to keep" part would mean someone swore on the river styx that he would do something, and the "with final breath" would mean that the person would die because they braked it for the greater good. It could also mean that someone sweared an oath on the river of styx, and died trying to complete the oath. And could mean that someone sweared an oath on the river of styx, and completed the oath successfully (swearing on the river of styx means that you have to keep it or you die[final breath]). Or, it could be refering to the oath Percy made the gods swear on the river of styx in TLO.

And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death

hmmmmmm... This part is pretty sketchy. It could mean that foes have a weapon that sends people to Hades (The Sword of Hades, perhaps). This line could mean that foes(enemies) would have a escape rout out of Hades, Like Ethan did. Or, It could mean that foes could have a way of bringing dead people back to life (son/daughter of Hades...). The gates of Death could mean something like the entrance Ethan used in The Sword of Hades, only this time it would be for dead people. The doors of death could be refering to Orpheus' entrance (the one Percy used in the Last Olympian). Also, Melione's entrance is a possibility. And, the sword of hades and the soul exchange counts as a entrance. There are allot of possibilities.

Well, we anelised it the best we could. If you have any ideas about the next series, send them in.
