PicasaWeb SlideshowThis year is going to be AWESOME! On the 50 and 100 mile ride, the Uncas Farm rest-stop has been revitalized by Sheepscot General at Uncas Farm, a new local foods store and art gallery. Plus, Morning Dew Farm will join us at the Morris Farm with a special farm stand for all riders to enjoy during the amazing local foods BBQ.
This year's BBQ will feature produce and meats from Goranson's Farm, Morning Dew Organic, Allen-Dee Registered Holsteins, Field's Fields, Caldwell Beef and more! Locally grown seasonal food prepared with love from scratch and in small batches . . . naturally the best ride food in Maine! Rest-stops along the way are at local farms and other points of interest. Riders' farm-stand purchases will be carried back to the Morris Farm by our friends, the Merrymeeting Amateur Radio Club, who also provide safety and security services throughout the ride. Rest-stops are stocked with complimentary water, sports drinks, bagels and peanut butter, snack bars and fruit provided by Rising Tide Food Market of Damariscotta. All Tour de Farms proceeds help the Morris Farm promote the values of sustainable agriculture and stewardship of the earth.
