Although the picture makes it look like he has a pink tongue, it is really very dark purple, but with all that gorgeous black coat it pales in comparison. Markie is a big dog, standing approx. 21" at the shoulder; weighing approx. 69lbs. and lots of growing ahead of him. I acquired Markie at the end of March when he was almost 5 months of age. He had an extremely rough flight and suffered a concussion. He arrived a scared, angry, dis-oriented puppy. It took him three weeks to begin to act normal. To look at him now you would never know the trauma he experienced as a pup. Markie has nice bone, good topline, clean eyes, small well set ears and sound movement. His coat is correct texture. One of his favorite games is to retreive anything. He loves to throw toys into the air then retreive them just to do it all over again. On January 9, 1999 Markie was OFA prelimed for hips, knees and elbows - the results from OFA are "Good". Here are some photos of Markie & some of his littermates at 8 wks of age.
