In October, 2006, Austin finished his AKC Championship title. He needed a single point but finished with a 3 point major and went on to Best of Breed under noted judge Bill Bergum.
Austin was bred one time to Paramount's Burning Desire "Rose". February 17, 2008, Rose had one baby boy. His name is Moonshine's One and Only and is called "Digger" after the NASCAR Gopher Cam as he was born on the first NASCAR race of 2008.
In 2009 Austin was diagnosed with advanced thyroid cancer and lost his battle that year. Austin was a sweet boy and is missed so much.
