It shows nothing, a song I played very long ago or the correct song with a few letters missing. How can I fix this?A: Windows Media Player: The plugin in Windows Media Player might not be registered properly. To fix this, go to the options page of my plugin and select 'Other player'. When asked if you want to restart, please select yes. The plugin will ask you for the Windows Media Player directory again. Allow 'Setup.exe' to run (if you are on Windows Vista). This should fix the problem. Winamp: In Winamp, go to Options and select Preferences. Then go to the Title part. In the textbox on the bottom of the window, paste the following: [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)) - %album% - %filename%
Aditionally, you will have to uncheck a checkbox under the General part. Please make sure the 'Scroll title in Windows taskbar' checkbox is unchecked. Q: Moodsongs is unable to show the Winamp album art in Skype. The songs are being displayed correctly though.
A: You will need to change an option in Winamp. In Winamp, go to Options and select Preferences. Then go to the Title part. In the textbox on the bottom of the window, paste the following: [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%)) - %album% - %filename% Note: Winamp album art can only be displayed if it was downloaded through Winamp itself. To show other album art, put it in the song's folder and give the picture the same name as the album. (Check you mp3 tags to make sure the correct album is in there.)
Q: The plugin keeps telling me that the Skype component is unregistered and tells me to install Skype all over again. What is the reason for this?
A: To interact with Skype, my plugin (just like most or even all other plugins) uses the Skype4COM.dll file. However, to ensure that this file is present, some other plugins tend to install their own copy of the file and register this copy. This is not a problem as any other plugin will still be able to use this copy of the Skype4COM.dll file. However, once you remove the program that installed this new file, the file will also be deleted, leaving you without a decently registered skype4COM.dll file. The best way to fix this is to install Skype all over again, just like my plugin states. Q: I accidently refused access to Skype, how can I still grant your plugin access? A: In Skype, go to "Do more" and select "Settings". There go to the "Advanced settings" part. On the bottom you will see a link to manage the access of other programs to Skype. Click this link and a new window will pop up. In this list, search for WMPInfo.exe, iTunesInfo.exe or WinampInfo.exe. Select it and click the Change button on the right. Now you can grant the plugin access to Skype again. Q: This plugin is not starting whenever I start the selected media player, so I have to launch three programs. Is there a way to do this shorter? A: This plugin automatically launches the media player it is connected to whenever it gets started. So instead of starting your media player, just start this plugin and they'll both get launched.
A: This is rather an Extras Manager bug than a bug in my plugin. Skype said that clicking the "Buy license" button should redirect you to a webpage which then states that your license is granted. However, I've had several reports of the bug persisting even after this attempt to fix it. Please note that users don't have to make any payments to use my plugin, so if you are asked for them, I strongly recommend cancelling them.
