The program curriculum for the summer program is thematic and includes Montessori philosophy and practice for children two years and older.  The classroom environment includes areas for practical life, sensorial, language, math, manipulatives, dramatic play, and art.  Montessori materials appropriate to the developmental stage of each child may be presented.  Wherever possible activities will be planned to take advantage of outdoor time.

I am Montessori Certified (AMS) with an Infant/Toddler Credential.  I have worked as a Montessori teacher and director and locally have worked as a Site Director at The Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center.  In the fall of 2007 I began teaching Montessori Morning. The summer class will be held in my home where a room is dedicated to and maintained as a Montessori toddler classroom environment.  

3 days/week (M, W, F)     $145/week

Each session will feature hands-on, outdoor activities related to a theme:

Session One (June 25-June 29)......................Animals and Habitats 

Session Two (July 2, July 5, July 6)................Machines and Things That Go!

Session Three (July 9 – July 13)………………..Art Exploration

Session Four (July 16-July 20)…………………..Insects

Session Five (July 23- July 27)…………………..All About Me and My Senses

q  $80 deposit per session is required along with the summer program application in order to hold your space in that session. Deposits are non-refundable after June 1, 2012.

q   Balance of the camp fee and paperwork is due no later than June 25, 2012.

• Class schedule will follow the Montgomery County schedule, including closures due to inclement weather or emergency.
