2011-2012 School Year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

I would like to welcome you and your child to my class. The third grade is exciting.  We will be learning and doing many new things.  I look forward to creating a class where each child can experience success and is encouraged to work to his or her fullest potential.

 

In order to have a successful school year your child must be prepared for school each day.  Please have your child bring the following items to class as soon as possible.

  

Ø  5 composition notebooks to start the school year.

Ø  5 2-pocket folders (1 of each, red, blue, green, yellow, orange)

Ø  2  plain folders with brads

Ø  1  packs of wide ruled notebook paper

Ø  2  packs of copy paper           

Ø  1 box of gallon size zip-lock bags       

Ø  3 boxes of # 2 pencils

Ø  1 pencil sharpener with lid

Ø  2 boxes of facial tissues

Ø  a package of glue sticks

Ø  a box of crayons, or a  box of colored pencils

Ø  1 bottle of waterless hand sanitizer

Ø  1 box of baby wipes

Ø  5 packs of post-it notes

Ø  2 highlighters

Ø  a  pencil pouch (no boxes)

Ø  1 pack of dry erase markers (Girls - Black) (Boys – Colored)

Ø  Multiplication Flash cards

*Please pack a healthy snack daily.

(NO CANDY, TAKIS, or HOT CHEETOS)

(FRUITS, VEGETABLES, TRAIL MIX ARE SOME EXAMPLES)

**Water will be the only drink allowed in the classroom.
