One Person, One Hour, One Day… You can help make Morgantown and Mon County shine!
Join us for the 2nd Annual Impact E.A.R.T.H.--- our county-wide volunteer community environmental awareness event.
Volunteers are asked to participate in the day’s events, including the Earth Day 5K race and the Impact E.A.R.T.H. Volunteer Community Cleanup & Beautification Project. You can be assigned a clean-up or beautification spot, or choose your own location. All groups or individuals will be eligible to participate in the Litter Scavenger Hunt while they are completing their cleanup project. Bags & gloves will be provided. Community service hours CAN be validated for students, groups, individuals, or community organizations.
The day will conclude with live music, food, fun, activities, & environmental exhibit booths to visit on the Riverfront Amphitheater.
Groups are encouraged to volunteer!

The Earth Day 5K was organized to create awareness about the wide variety of environmental issues and to inform our county residents of what they can do locally to help our Earth. All race registration fees go toward a small grant program used to fund community or educational environmental projects.

Impact E.A.R.T.H. (Environmental Awareness & Respecting Tomorrow’s Home) is searching for people in the community who are interested in organizing a project that will help promote sustainable environmentalism or encourage environmental education. Impact E.A.R.T.H. will provide monetary funding, up to $500.00, to assist in completing your project idea. Larger grant requests may also be considered.
All funds for this grant program are provided by the proceeds from the Earth Day 5K.
