MOMS Offering Moms Support®
Thank you for your interest in the MOMS Club of Peoria- North, IL. The MOMS Club (MOMS Offering MOMS Support) is an International nonprofit organization for at-home mothers everywhere! We help you feel good about your decision to stay home with your children and give you the opportunity to share activities with other at-home mothers and their children.
MOMS Club was started in 1983 by an at-home mother in California by the name of Mary James. She wanted to meet other at-home moms and wanted her children to interact with other children. So, MOMS Club was born. As of 2010, there are more than 2,100 chapters with over 110,000 members. The purpose of MOMS Club is to provide support for mothers who choose to stay home and raise their children. Some people may confuse our group with a service that provides activities for children. Although children are welcome at nearly all of our activities, MOMS Club is for the moms. The fact that our kids can meet other children and have fun at the same time is a great perk!
The MOMS Club of Peoria-North, IL is a relatively new chapter. It was created in July of 2006 when the original MOMS Club of Peoria reached beyond 50 members. That chapter was divided into two smaller sister chapters and here we are today.
