Club Service Projects

An important part of the MOMS Club of Lopatcing is giving back to our community through service projects. The projects vary from year to year. Some examples of projects we have done are:
 
2007-2008 Service Projects (Assitant Vice President: Nicole C)
 
Trisomy 18 Foundation
  • Collected items from members of our club and put together a wine/cocktail themed  basket for their annual golf outind and silent auction
Norwescap
  • Donated goodie bags from current member Jen W. to underprivledged children
  • Food Drive: Collected over 232 lbs of food to donate
March of Dimes
  • Participated in the Walk for Babies
  • Created a MOMS Club team that raised over $2600.00

Third Street Alliance
  • Collected items from our members and created Easter baskets, 25 in all, to go to the children who live at the center
  • Members donated candy, toys, and many other items
Mother to Mother Fund
  • Sold MOMS Club of Lopatcong Area t-shirts to benefit the Mother to Mother Fund. One of our members donated the shirts to us free of charge.
  • Sold the shirts to our members and were able to raise $243
Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network
  • Donated $100 to help fund research since so many of our members' children suffer from food allergies and asthma
Kidzsignments
  • Members donated hundreds of baby items to raise money for club insurance
  • Remainder of the profits went to the Mother to Mother Fund
  • Items that did not sell were donated to needy families in the area
2008-2009 Service Projects (AVP: Meghan R)
 
Phillipsburg Area Meals on Wheels
  • Children and moms in the club joined together to decorate lunch bags which were then delivered by Meals On Wheels to homebound individuals who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals.
Trisomy 18 Foundation
  • Collected items from members of our club and put together a wine/cocktail themed  basket for their annual golf outind and silent auction
Piggy Bank Craft/Service Project
  • We had the children take old potato chip cans and made them into piggy banks. We encouraged families to collect change in the bank to be used for a food collection
  • Money raised was used to buy food for St. Lukes Episcopal Church
  • A food drive was also done to collect even more food
Third Street Alliance
  • We collected personal hygiene and spa items from Club Members  for Mother's Day gifts bags for the mothers who live there
  • 15 bags were created full of great items
 
2009-2010
