Molember Road is an inaccessible cul de sac in East Molesey. It has a Residents Association about which little is known: the Association has no web page, and communications I have seen are anonymous with no names or contact details.

The main activity of the Molember Road Residents Association is the harassment of each others' visitors.

(Of course if you are visiting a private road at the invitation of a resident - as the writer of this note acknowledges will be the case -  then you are not committing a trespass)

The second known activity of the Molember Road Resident Association (sometimes known as Black Molember) is property development: the Association apparently owns a small piece of land in next-door Sumner Road and in 2003 applied for planning permission to erect a mobile phone mast bringing them into conflict with local residents.

One might consider this an unusual project for a residents association, the type of body normally campaigning on behalf of residients against visually intrusive phone masts. In this case permission was refused .

So there you have it. The Molember Road Residents Association. Activities
- harassing each other's visitors
- building phone masts that spoil the the environment of nearby roads

Update 21 August 2010
I am pleased to have received some emails from Molember Road residents who are not part of shadowy MRRA. Their names are withheld for their own protection, one told me

Believe me, your experiences are the tip of the iceberg.

A number of the residents on the road have withdrawn from the Association because of it’s underhanded activities

Another resident writes

I am sorry to see that you were subjected to yet another example of the petty & anti social

behaviour of some of the residents.

Believe me you don't know the half of it  [...]

Luckily there are plenty of nice residents on the road who have been able to rise above the

whole situation and behave like neighbours should behave.

On behalf of those residents we apologise for our neighbours behaviour

Do you know anything about MRRA?  What lies beneath the tip of the iceberg?  All details welcome and treated in complete confidence.

Watching them watching you.
