January 5, 2009: Mohammed Shrine "Fun maker" Clowns held it's annual election of officers for the 2009 year. Russell Orwig was elected President and Tom Podrovitz was elected Secretary.
In other business it was decided to develop the a website which would enhance our ability to reach out to all the clowns and friends who support us in helping the Shrine Hospitals of America.
There has been a flurry of activity in the recent months.
-Fun Makers Bicycle built for two is up and running again with a new coat of paint and shiny chrome. We are going to have fun this spring and summer by trying to get the bicycle out to all the parades.
January 29, 2009: Attention all Clowns!!!! The Mohammed Shrine Clowns need help in locating former El Bon and Fun Makers materials, such as props, skits, bicycles,go-carts and anything else that that Shrine Clowns can relocate so that the units may be able to make use of these lost materials.
February 26, 2009: Hockey night in Bloomington, Illinois on Saturday March 21, 2009 at the US Cellular Coliseum. All Shrine units are encouraged to participate. Clowns will be needed to entertain the crowd. We have located professional (T-shirt) launchers. We will have approximately 60 t-shirts to launch out into the crowd. The shirts will have the "Prarie Thunder logo Bison with a Shrine Fezz on his head". Details to come with times to meet and get set up. Look for your walk around props, magic and jokes to keep the family and kids entertained.
June 2, 2009: Just a follow up to let everyone know that the clown unit has obtained (2) go karts and a new tricycle to be used for the parades. If anyone wishes the equiptment for an upcoming parade, please contact our Director: Rusty Orwig.
