About Patricia Imbarlina
Her purpose in doing massage therapy modalities is to help others with complementary sessions in massage, healing, rehab and spa. Her history with car accidents, surgeries, battle against pre-cancer, long term recurring migraines and a near death experience has led her to participate in healing work studies with massage therapy and modalities.
She is a native of Uruguay, South America. Her family decent is Italian and they moved to Pittsburgh, PA when she was three years old. At that time, her family found out that she was deaf and was mainstreamed into public schools. She graduated in 1992 and then attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf and Rochester Institute of Technology (NTID/RIT). In 1999, she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in School of Arts and Design. Soon thereafter, she had a son and found out that she needed to take time out to focus on caring for him when he was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Afterwards, she decided to enter into Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage (OSTM) in Rochester, NY. OSTM is one of the leading therapeutic schools in the nation. She completed her course study with double the national standard of hands-on hours with a total of 1,000 hours. She has been a certified massage therapist for about six years and also a professional massage therapist member with the American Massage Therapy Association.
She moved back to Pittsburgh, PA after 15 years to be close to her family and to start a massage profession in this area. She does not promise to cure or diagnose anything, which is not within the scope of her practice. Her position is to help individual clients within the modalities they choose that works best for them. Their will to believe in healing themselves during their choice of treatment may lead to successful complementary results. If at any time there is a case that a client needs to seek medical attention, she will ask the client to appoint examination with a medical doctor.
