John Zahl is associate rector of Church of the Holy Cross (Episcopal), Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. He was born in New York City and now lives in Charleston with his wife Deirdre and greyhound, Calhoun. He received his B.A in Philosophy from Kenyon College, and attended seminary at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford (UK). John is also an avid vinyl (record) enthusiast, spending much of his free time collecting obscure disco records. He secretly believes there is a point of intersection between the music of the late 1970's and the English Reformation. Jeff Hual is a regular contributor to the Mockingbird Blog and the organizer of this and last year's Mini-Conferences in Pensacola, Florida. A Pensacola native, Jeff has taught adult Christian formation classes at Christ Church Parish since 2008. Prior to this, at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama, he served as a small group bible study leader, Alpha table leader and noonday prayer lay minister. Jeff and his wife Kerry live in Gulf Breeze and have one son, Jacob, Age 8. |
