School Visits


MOBILE CREPES has visited many schools in the past couple of years for Special French or Lote Days.
We encourage your students to speak to us in French and even have prepared special signs at our stall giving them instructions on how to order their crêpe in French.
 
Please see below details of our visits to schools:
 

ORDERS:
The total quantity of crêpes needs to be pre-ordered by the school (eg: 50 x Year 7 + 40 x Year 8 + 35 x Year 9 = 125 crêpes). The total quantity pre-booked by the school will be the minimum amount invoiced to the school.
Note: We bring extra crêpe batter on the day to allow for last minute orders (an extra 30 crêpes approx. can be purchased). These last minute crêpe orders will need to be paid cash at our stall (students will need to bring the exact change).

SERVICE:
Students come to our stall to get their crêpe(s) under the supervision of the teacher(s) in charge. It is the teachers’/school’s responsibility to ensure that only the students who are entitled to a crêpe receive one. We will pre-cook the exact number of crêpes ordered (+ approx. an extra 30 crêpes that can be prepared for last minute orders). We encourage students to order their crêpes in French – we have signage on our stall in French for that purpose. As a guideline for the timing, please allow about 2 crêpes per minute.

MENU:
- sugar
- jam
- lemon & sugar
- chocolate sauce (homemade contains traces of nuts - special orders without traces of nuts can be placed).

OUR SET-UP:
Space required: 2 sq metres stall. Indoors preferably in winter or alternatively outdoors under a shelter (ie: veranda or similar) and out of wind or drafts.
We require:
- a small amount of water pre-service to fill in one of our recipient
- a power point.

For an added French theme we dress "à la française" (stripped t-shirt & beret) and we encourage the students to speak French with us.

COST:
A set cost per crêpe will be charged (a call out fee may apply for schools located 25km or more from our base in Caulfield). A minimum of 100 crêpes is required per visit. Total cost will be invoiced to the school prior to our visit.

CONFIRMATION:
Confirmation of date is required as early as possible and no less than 10 working days prior to our visit.
Confirmation of Quantity should be e-mailed at least 5 working days prior to our visit.

CANCELLATION:
Cancellations made within 3 working days of the event are subject to a $200 cancellation fee.

PAYMENT:
Payment is required prior to our visit (an invoice will be issued to the school).
Payment methods: EFT (preferred option) or cheque/money order (made out to F. LIBOTTE & A. BELMIMOUN).
