Painted fish

Time: 10-15 minutes

Age: Preschool to Elementary

Supplies:

Thin cardboard or thick paper

bleeding art tissue

paint brushes

water (and bowls)

string or yarn

popsicle sticks

scissors

Prep:

Cut fish out of cardboard or thick paper. Punch holes for string. Fill bowls with water.

Craft:

Have kids cut small pieces of bleeding art tissue, lay them on the fish, then "paint" with water. The color will soak through into the paper. The tissue paper dries in about 5-10 minutes and falls off or you can peel it off as you paint. Tie string through hole and attach string to popsicle sticks. You've caught your own colorful fish!
