Time: 10-15 minutes Age: Preschool to Elementary
Supplies: Stiffened felt or construction paper Scissors Glue (tacky glue is best) Styrofoam balls (size that fits in your hand) Feathers Pipe cleaners Stapler
Prep: Cut long strips and various sizes of triangles out of the felt or construction paper.
Craft: Glue or staple triangles to long strips to form ears. If you're gluing them, once they've dried (take them home!) staple strips together to make a crown. These are your fox ears! Glue feathers to the styrofoam ball and add pipe cleaners for legs, etc. (If you are really a perfectionist, you can poke holes in the ball with the pipe cleaners and glue the individual feathers into the holes but you will need feathers with strong stems and lots of patience). You are now a fox with its very own chicken! |
