Course Description

The AP Government class prepares students to take the AP American Government exam. This course is designed to explore political theory and everyday practices of our government. It is taught with the convictions that students want to know not only who governs, but why and what difference that makes. In short, this course attempts to demonstrate how our government institutions and political processes operate. Please do not expect a typical high school course experience. It is a challenging, fast paced and dynamic course requiring independent thought and personal responsibility from each student. The class requires a substantial amount of reading and preparation.
