MESSAGE TO PARENTS ANNOUNCING SCHOOL CLOSURE

 

We are writing to share an important message with you. MLS will be closed beginning 17 November 2009. It is anticipated school will re-open on 6th December 2009.

 

Misr Language Schools is being closed because one of our younger students in Grade 2 has tested positive for the H1N1 virus. The school now has three confirmed H1N1 cases, all in the American Division Elementary section. The school has spoken with the parents and the situation is under control and they are currently without fever in stable condition at home. positive for probable swine flu virus.

 

The decision to close school was made after receiving a recommendation from Ministry of Education and the Governor of this district to close the entire school for 15 days. All programs held at Misr Language Schools will be closed. The entire campus will be closed.

 

If someone has flu-like illness they should contact their medical provider or call the Public Health Hotline at 105. We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you informed of any new developments.

 

I urge you to ignore any gossip or rumors from outside the school administration such as Facebook, and other unofficial websites.

 

News or updates concerning the health and safety of our students, or the change in the current school status will be communicated immediately to you through our official communication channels such as the Web Site of the School or SMS.
