Dear Students and Families,

      My name is Mrs. Fong.  I will be your first grade teacher this year.  I have been teaching for 28 years and I cannot wait to begin another year.

     I hold a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Delaware and an M.S. in Literacy from Walden University.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher, holding a certificate as an Early Childhood Generalist. Most of my experience has been in the early childhood area,but I have taught fifth and sixth grades as well as a gifted and talented program. For the past 12 years I have been at Linden Hill as a kindergarten or first grade teacher. 

       I am a native Delawarean, but have traveled a great deal in my life with my U. S. Naval family and my immediate family.  I am married to a very supportive and quiet man from China and we have two terrific grown sons and one very naughty cat. 

    I have created this classroom web page so that we will have an additional way to communicate during the year.  Look to this site for monthly class newsletters and weekly homework assignments as well as links to our first grade experience.
