it can be easy to make a goal but not to do it
|
| Sometimes it is very easy to make a commitment to do something, but when you try, it just does not work. Then, you feel like a failure and your goal feels too far away to reach. You get lazy, and you know there is 'no hope' for your goal; this makes you turn back into the unsuccessful person you were. This is the worst thing that can happen to you. You should think of it as a soccer game. You really want your team to win and you tell everyone, with confidence, to just try their best to contribute to the team and win. Let's say that your team was about to make a goal and then there is a goal kick and the ball goes to the other side to the field. The other team makes a goal and your team is less confident than you had been before. The game is almost over, and you're losing. You have no hope to win, and your commitment is low. Your team now plays terribly, and the other team makes another goal, before they win the game. Sometimes other peoples goals make your goals more difficult. This happened to a friend I knew, when she was trying to be less shy. She was not given the chance to participate, because everyone knew she would not contribute to the group. Everyone in her group would participate and get good grades in group working, but she would get the lowest grade because she didn't participate. She would not have the chance to contribute ideas. When she told me and two of my friends we helped her and thought of ideas to make a goal easy to reach. These are the ideas we thought of. 1. talk to your friends, or parents about your goal 2. look for everything you need to make a goal before you make it 3. be good to yourself and tell your body that you can do the goal 4. be confident
