Mark and Jenny's Homepage

10/25/09  We have been very busy lately.  This summer we  had to move our sorority house a block down the street--a huge job.  Then Mark considered the possibility of trying to graduate this year.  Although he has decided to wait until next year to graduate, keeping the option open kept him very occupied the last couple of months.  Consequently we haven't done a lot of exciting things.  The two new posts are from our adventures early last summer.   The most exciting news we have can be deduced from the above picture, which most of you probably knew about anyway.  We are excited.  (April 20, in case you were wondering.)

4/12/2009  We have two new updates since our last post.  Many of you have already seen some of our pictures from Italy, but we have not had a lot of time to put them onto this site until now.  We had a great time in Italy.  We also have pictures from our more recent Spring Break where we visited several of our old friends who have also ended up in the East for school.

12/28/2008 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!  In a few hours, we will be on a plane headed to Italy, the land of pasta and mozzarella.  In a few weeks, we will have many more pictures to post, to tell you all about our upcoming trip.  In the meantime, we thought we would get you up-to-date with what we have been up to in the past few months.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year is as much as fun as ours is going to be.  :)

10/25/08  This has been a very colorful fall here in New York.  We have been busy with a new semester starting up.  Mark is teaching again this semester and Jenny is still running the sorority.  We have taken a few trips, so you can see some of our adventures by following the Fall 2008 link to the left.

7/26/08 Summer has been busy for us.  We've had visits from Jenny's parents and her siblings, and we've traveled to Wyoming to visit Mark's family and see his sister's wedding.   It has been great to see family.  There is really only a month of summer left before the AXiD Sorority girls come back and Mark returns to teaching, which means the rest of the summer will be spent working at the sorority house and doing research.  Oh well, the vacations were fun while they lasted.

6/8/08 Mark and Jenny are very excited that summer is coming.  The weather here is great, most of the undergraduates have left town, and life is good.  Our lives have been pretty exciting.  We've been getting out and going hiking, fishing, and even bought a new car.  See some of our adventures in the 'Spring 2008'  link.  Also, Mark has started to compile some of his favorite recipes, and decided to share them with everyone, so if you're hungry you might want to look under 'Mark's Recipes'.  There is only one recipe now, but we will be adding more shortly.  As usual, check out Jenny's blog for more detailed and frequent updates about our lives.  We hope you are all well and enjoy the pictures!

3/23/08  We hope you are all having a great spring.  Things here in New York are going well.  The Winter 2008 link to the left will tell you about how we've occupied our time this winter.  The New York City link will show some pictures from our recent trip to the Big Apple.  To the right we will be adding links to other websites that friends and family might be interested in.

1/10/08  If any of you thought that we were slow in updating our past entries, then you must have been outright appalled this time!  This could be one of those times where no news is good news, however.  We have both been keeping very busy and enjoying our lives here in New York: Mark with his school and Jenny with her work.  Not to say that we don't think of all of you often and wonder how you are.  Since our last update we have taken a trip to Washington D.C. and another trip to the West for the Holidays.  We hope you enjoy the pictures.

7/11/07 To date, summer in Ithaca has been a great experience.  The weather has not been too hot (although the last couple of days have challenged that claim), and we have had plenty to do to keep us busy.  Mark is researching and TA'ing while Jenny is doing summer maintenance at the sorority.  We still have found some time to take a few trips and to make some strawberry jam.  For those of you we didn't get to see on our vacations, we hope you're doing well and that we'll be able to see you soon.   (Maybe you'll have to come see us!)

5/4/07  To all of our devoted fans, we apologize that this entry has been long in coming.  We are both glad that spring has come and that the semester is finally concluding.  For Mark, this means he can stop worrying about classes and start to work on some research.  For Jenny, this means she can quit her job at Wegmans and start moving into the sorority.  For those of you who don't know, we'll be working as house parents at the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, which we are both excited about.  Anyway, the weather is beautiful and life is good.  We hope the same can be said for all of you.

2/15/07  We've learned that New York winters really can be cold.  We didn't believe it for a while.  We thought about moving to Ontario, but they just get rain.  Even Pinedale would be warmer.  School and work keep us busy enough that we don't focus on the cold too much.  At the moment, we are worrying more about our plans for the upcoming summer, which are still up in the air.  Whatever they end up being, we hope to be able to see some of you.

12/27/06  December has been a good month for both of us here in New York.  Mark finished his first semester at Cornell and is still alive.  Jenny is planning her escape from the grocery store (it might take a few months).  We had a good Christmas and enjoyed decorating our apartment and listening to Christmas music.  We miss everyone and hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season, too.

11/24/06   This has been a busy month for both of us.  Jenny has been adjusting to her new job as a cashier at Wegman's, the most amazing grocery store you'll ever see (not as exciting when seen from a cash register). Mark has been trying to keep his head above water at school while looking for a research group to join. We are excited that the holidays are here again, but we look forward more to future years when we can be with family again. We hope you all had a good Thanksgiving.

11/2/06  Trying to make a website for friends and family to keep up to date on our lives has been quite a pain.  Fortunately, Google has made it easy for us.  Maybe someday we'll get a better handle on this web page design and do something better, but for now we don't have time to get into it too deeply.  In the meantime we hope everyone enjoys the pictures and occassional blurbs about our doings.  Click on the links for information and pictures.
