MOOSE JAW PAVERS CYCLING
TAKING IT TO THE STREETS
|
Presidents Message Moose Jaw Pavers is a cycling club with a definite desire to include all forms of cycling. Last season we advertised rides not only “road” and “off road” but cruiser rides as well.
Again this year we will be attempting to entice cyclists of all variety’s to come out and enjoy not only fresh air and exercise but the social aspect of cycling as well .
The road rides will hopefully attract enough riders that we can divide into two or three groups so that everyone can enjoy the type of ride they are looking for. This means we want recreational riders, fitness riders and racing riders. Watch for publicity around an introductory evening where we can get everyone out and discuss what people would like to have in the way of weekly rides.
Off road rides will include both Wakamow and Buffalo Pound trail riding and will also have some social (wiener roast & beverages) events planned. While off road riding doesn’t lend itself to group riding, as well as road riding does, there is no reason why we can’t ride together (maybe share in the trail maintenance) and socialize together.
Cruiser rides are an opportunity for recreational riders looking for a little exercise with like minded individuals with maybe a stop at a local coffee shop or watering hole to again add some socializing. Again watch the local media for information regarding these rides and watch for a “critical mass ride once a month starting in the early spring.
Soon we will have a schedule posted listing the days, times and meeting places for different rides.
If you would like more information or have suggestions please contact one of the people listed on this page.
