The Audio Version
When Vivian Mare accepted the position of housekeeper in the employ of Archimedes Nesselrode, she wanted something different from the usual run of Senators and CEOs; Ms. Mare did not anticipate that she would be dealing with a bespectacled heron, a winged snake, or a crew of naughty marmosets getting into the crackers.
"Archimedes Nesselrode" exists in two incarnations: The novel, which I am publishing in audio form on the site, chapter by chapter as I get them recorded, and the short story, which is based on the characters and situation created in the first couple chapters of the novel. But the short story is quite different; it has a sinister twist.
This short story version has been published in Crossed Genres Magazine, in issue #5, which has appropriately enough, a humor theme. There's a lot of other cool stuff in this issue, including an article by Piers Anthony on "Common Misconceptions about Writing Humor." They also have an eStore where you can buy audio downloads of their stuff ($.99 -- cheap!) including, of course, "Archimedes Nesselrode".
The splendid artwork, which captures nicely the playful, eccentric genius of Archimedes Nesselrode, was created by Newmarket artist Jeremy Couturier. You can find more of his work at Blogspot. Check him out.
The podcast of Archimedes Nesselrode, the novel, which you will find on this page below, was produced by Larry Graykin in his studio, which also supplied the music, composed especially for the book by MPeace3. Stay tuned for release of further chapters. Notice will be posted on facebook (Find me there -- link on my home page).
