Event Description:

You are cordially invited to participate in a week-end meditation retreat in the beautiful Laurentians north of Montreal. This will be our 8th retreat together (see comments from past participants here). The quiet and large space at L'Ermitage is ideal for creating a state of mind that is calm and clear in comparison to the noisy, busy life we are used to in the city. It provides a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature and our inner self (see pictures of the retreat center here).

The week-end will be spent in nature, in silence, and in group discussion. We will practice various meditation techniques such as concentration, mindfulness, chanting, and chakra meditation. There will also be various yoga sessions including a kirtan (mantra chanting; see video here) with Lea Longo, mindful walks in the forest, and moments for relaxation. Sleeping accommodations and vegan meals are included in the program.

By taking the time away on a retreat, we can give ourselves a rare opportunity to re-establish what is truly important to us. Being in a quiet space in the beautiful surroundings of nature, we can more easily explore the practice of meditation in order to re-connect with our essence. Establishing such a practice will give us the tools to bring back with us in our day to day life so that we can confront our challenges with equanimity and wisdom. I invite you to take this big step in your spiritual journey.
