This page contains Frequently Asked Questions for MiValue. Send your questions to MiValueApp@gmail.com. Why do I need to enter the number of hours I work each week? MiValue uses this in it's calculations. If you enter your income as an Annual Salary, then it needs this to figure out your hourly rate. If you enter your income as an hourly rate then it is used in some of the larger calculations to figure out the number of "work weeks". Don't taxes distort the results that I get from MiValue? We considered adding options for both income and sales tax to MiValue, but decided to leave them out as they complicate the interface and don't apply to everyone. We suggest that you enter your "take home" income (either as annual salary of hourly rate) and the "final cost" of the item or service you are considering. Why does either "Annual Salary" or "Hourly Rate" turn gray when I enter a value into the other one? MiValue will use whichever of these fields you entered last as the primary and compute the other field based on the number of hours you work each week. It "grays out" the one that is being computed, and "highlights" the one that you entered. It is simply a visual cue to let you know which mode you are in, either "Annual Salary" or "Hourly Rate". How do I get MiValue to forget my Salary/Hourly rate? On the Setup pane, set "Remeber my info" to NO, and then quit the application. The next time you use MiValue this will be set back to the default of zero. |
