In February 2010, the Elmira Jackals Youth Hockey organization will host Mite Mania 2010, a B & C level mite tournament at First Arena. Enthusiastic kids will take to the ice under the leadership of volunteer coaches for what is described as “the greatest sport on earth”. Many of course would beg to differ, but for those participants a season of hockey proves to be a rewarding experience. All tournament planning and organization is done by volunteer parents with support and advice from the Elmira Youth Hockey Board of Directors. In addition to Elmira's 2 Mite travel teams, we will play host to six additional teams traveling from around New York State and/or Pennsylvania for the weekend-long event. Special arrangements have been made for players and families to attend our professional ECHL Elmira Jackal's game vs. the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night. Players can attend the game for FREE, family and friends can purchase tickets for only $10 per ticket. Please complete attached flyer for ticket reservations.
The tournament cost per team is $675 which is due along with the tournament application. Deadline is December 31st.
