The One Who Knew Something Was Not Quite Right
Dimitar Dimitrov

The security camera stared at him silently. There was no way to know if he was right. He felt like an alchemist, unwrapping the mysteries of the universe. Still, he could never know.

Sitting quietly in the sofa in the lobby of the art gallery, he was waiting for the lecture to begin. Astronomy was not his favorite subject, yet he wanted to know more.

Weeks had gone by. The search continued. He knew what he was going to find out and that was stopping him. If it all had started with a "1" the world was going to collapse.

Mathematics is a religion he thought. Our world is just a virtual machine inside a virtual machine. Multidimensional virtual reality. 1. We know nothing. One God, Creator deity, the Father Almighty of Heaven and Earth, nothing more than a supercomputer. Or was all that just a cultural bias, something he wanted to believe in.

He was not sure in what to believe anymore. He knew he could never tell anyone, because they would never believe him.
