BELINDA DUNNE

At the age of 20 after growing up in small town NZ BELINDA moved to Auckland to pursue a career in modelling and travel. She soon discovered her look was more suited to the shores of Asia and accepted a short term modelling contract in Japan. Her time there was very successful however international modelling was just one thing on her " TO DO" list and she headed home to compete another of her dreams, representing North Harbour in Miss New Zealand. As a contestant she had a rebellious streak and never made it to the top ten but she was always very grateful for the finishing school aspect of the pageant so went on to run several area competitions. It was then that another of the Miss NZ teaching came into play "Don't limit your dreams", with this belief she started her own business, studied journalism, travelled the world, and participated in several tough sports such as fighting and motto cross. There wasn't a playing field or board room where she didn't feel she belonged. Today she owns an events management company which has ran 17 televised events and has several TV projects in the works for 2009. Her business is booming and this is in partly due to the persona and life skills she developed while in training for the Miss NZ pageant. Her message to the girls “enjoy this time learn all you can and realise that although there is only one winner, what you learn in here can set you up to succeed in the future.”

Ricardo Simich

A good looking very tanned Ricardo is described as the “ultimate man-about-town. He used to work in New York but decided to return to NZ after the terrorists attacks of 911. With  a public relations, marketing, website design background & a passion for fashion he began, together with his mum, Ann, ‘a one stop marketing shop’ ONE AGENCY. Aside from his directorship at One Agency he is also a Front of House at Air NZ Fashion Week event. Ricardo is the man you need to know if you want to get a better seat and making sure people are where they’re supposed to be seated.  He has to know all faces,  cater to all the guests and sees to it that everything run smoothly.  Ricardo works year-round keeping an eye on every detail leading up to Fashion week and once the time comes he performs a well choreographed juggling act to make sure media, buyers, & guests are looked after.  It is a task he handles with aplomb without so much as a ruffle in his immaculate Keith Matheson suits & Armani ties.
