 Spring is Almost Here!! Well, I'm still here at Fisher! Music wasn't cut.....yet.
But, funding for night time performances was cut and
50% of funding was cut from after school activities.
HOW WILL THAT IMPACT CHOIR???? We have implemented
a $5 "pay to participate" fee for second semester.
I am still waiting to hear back about that.
HOW DOES THE NIGHT TIME PEFORMANCE AFFECT FISHER?
As of now, the Spring Informances have been put on
hold. Its likely that they will not happen.
♪♫♪♫ The future of the arts in still uncertain for next year. It really all depends on what happens in Lansing. Will they implement the $165 per student cuts? No one knows. Please consider writing your senator and congressman if you haven't already. The budget scare isn't over- its just been put on hold.
*** You can drop your State Senator and Representative an email telling them to FIND a way to BETTER FUND education and REVERSE the budget cuts. The cuts are DEVASTATING to all school districts. Tell them your district is considering cutting ALL extra-curricular activities as well as MUSIC and ART K-12.

My name is Adrienne Howey. I have been the music teacher at Fisher for 10 years! OMG, that's a long time. I LOVE FISHER! I have taught in many schools, and Fisher is by far my FAVORITE place. I consider Fisher my second home and the teachers and students, my family.
