I was born on August 4th in Fresno, California. From the ages of nine to eighteen I was a gymnast. During the last three years of my gymnastics career I began coaching.  After graduating from Clovis West high school, I  moved to Los Angeles.

I continued to coach gymnastics while going to college. I coached kids two years and above, even adults. While working at Malibu Gymnastics, I created art and music programs to compliment the gymnastics for kids ages 2 - 5. I attended college at California State University Northridge where I earned my BA and teaching credentials in December 2003.

Immediately after graduating I got a job at Sunny Brae Elementary School teaching 5th grade. After completing my first year of teaching I applied for and was hired at Richmond Street as a 4th grade teacher. I have been teaching 4th grade at Richmond Street elementary school since 2004. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in education/administration and applying to become a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.

After school I like to swim, mountain bike, dirt bike, rock climb, run, surf, do Krav Maga, Cross Fit, swing dance, and take aerial fabric classes. When I am not playing, I am curled up reading a good book or spending time with my family.

My family is very important to me. Both my parents were school teachers and are now retired. Since I was in the 4th grade, I've always wanted to become a teacher like my parents.

My sister and her husband used to live with me and my husband in our townhouse that we purchased and remodeled in May 2007. Sadly they moved to Arizona and I miss her dearly. She is my best friend and we love to do things together.

Christmas 2007 was a busy holiday. My sister Alli got engaged and 3 days later Steve proposed to me on a beautiful hike in Sedona, Arizona. Alli and David tied the knott in February 2009.

Steve and I exchanged marraige vows on April 26th, 2009.

These are photos from the Boot Camp Challenge race in SanDiego on Saturday October 6th, 2007. We raced as a team over and through a variety of obstacles at the San Diego Marine Corps recruiting

Volkslauf, "the peoples race," was held on Saturday, October 13th, 2007 in Bakersfield. The race was a 10k with over 75 obstacles and 6 mudpits. Excited and exhausted, I was the first woman to cross the finish line, and the 48th finisher overall.

Volkslauf round 2 Saturday, October 11th, 2008 I was the second woman who crossed the finish line for Volkslauf. Didn't beat my last years time, but gave it a valiant effort as they added even more obstacles than before.

Crossfit has become a huge part of my fitness regimen over the last year. I began crossfitting in August of 2008. In my first year of CrossFit I took 2nd place in the Southern California Regional Qualifiers, which allowed me to compete against the top 75 women from around the world at the CrossFit Games held July 2009.

What is CrossFit, you may ask. CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. It is a program of constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements.

July 2010 CrossFit Games

I was named 3rd fittest woman in the world after 3 days of grueling competition that included 9 workouts. We rope climbed, moved 370 pounds of sandbags across a stadium from the top of one end to the top of the other, did olympic lifting, gymnastic skills, running, and more.

7 months pregnant and doing push-ups in my workout!

Our daughter Vin Reese Voboril was born July 6, 2011.

This has definately been the most exciting event in my life! I am looking forward to all the joys and challenges of parenthood.
