| Although this third week of school was a short one... we have accomplished a lot in terms of respect. After (too) many problems with blurting, talking in the halls, and being off-task in the classroom, we decided to change some things in our room. First, each student will have a note coming home each night in the planners to update parents on any problems throughout the day. Second, the students will ALWAYS have something to do--even those who get to school 20 minutes early. I don't expect everyone to act perfectly 100% of the time, but it is important to learn how to act in the classroom and in the halls! We finally finished the first part of our WATER unit in science! Some neat experiments have given the students great insight on the properties of water. |
