Hello! I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade at PLS! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Here is a little about me:

I grew up in Vinton, Iowa--about halfway between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. I grew up with my dad, Rick, my mom, Chari, and my little sister, Sara. When I was younger, I loved going to school, reading, doing math, and pretending to "be a teacher" for my little sister! I knew at a very young age that I would someday be a teacher!

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December 2007. I have my B.A. in Elementary and Middle Level Education, with a minor in Mathematics (K-6). While at UNI, I participated in Kappa Delta Pi, the Honor Society in Education, and planned many events, including a Challenge of Teaching Conference for high school juniors and seniors.

I am recently engaged! My fiance, Jon, and I are getting married July 18, 2009 here in Cedar Falls. It has been very fun planning wedding details! We recently moved into a house here and share our home with two wonderful puppies--a Miniature Dachshund named Jack and a Miniature Pinscher named Chloe. 

In my spare time, I love to watch the news, watch movies, read, be with friends, go for walks, play with the puppies and do Sudoku puzzles.
