Overview
This unit is designed to introduce you to scientific inquiry, and to review the proper ways to graph, convert using the metric system, and to use and handle microscopes.  During this time period you also want to self analyze how you are feeling with you course load to make sure that you want to take on honors biology.  Lastly we will begin studying biology by defining the characteristics of living things.

Specifics to know for the test
The steps of the scientific method (OHECC).
How to write a proper lab report, knowing what the sections are and what information goes in each.
How to set up a graph, where independent and dependent variables go, and how to chose a line versus bar graph.
Be able to use the metric system (convert KHDBdCM)
Know the main parts of the microscopes we will use in class, and know proper techniques for using them.
Know the characteristics of living things.
