| What is honors biology? This is a first year biology course designed for students interested in science. There are no prerequisites for this class, but be prepared to put in time. This class does include assignments that will be done exclusively out of class, and specific due dates for these assignments (Outdoor adventures, and the honors project) are final dates- this means that assignments Must be turned in by this date- no exceptions are made, please make sure to get these assignments done and turned in early so you do not have to worry about last minute problems. What does honors mean? If you meet all of the requirements of this class you will be graded on a 5 point scale (A=5, B=4, C=3) A grade of D will not get the extra point. Make sure to look over your honors contract (sent home, and listed here) in order to know what needs to be done in order to earn honors credit. Should I be here? My answer is Yes anyone who really wants to can succeed in this class. Only you know if this class will be right for you. Compared to college prep biology this class moves at a faster pace, but it also has less structure, which means that it really helps to be self motivated. |
