Recent appearances include concerts at Carnegie-Weill Hall and Symphony Space in New York, St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, Columbia and Harvard Universities, and Bascarsija Nights International Festival in Sarajevo. Her playing has been praised for its “natural inventiveness and emotion” (Zena 21), “appropriate stylistic sense”, “admirably delicate finger-work”, “intelligent sense of interacting voices” and for “eliciting [music’s] haunting poetry." (New York Concert Review) Prizewinner in the Queens College Young Artist Competition and the Morgan Park Festival Competition in New York, Mirna is the recipient of the Hanson, Eastman and Willard Awards at the Eastman School, the New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence, the New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Grant, the Artists International Special Presentation Award and the CUNY Music Fellowship. She has broadcast on Bosnian Radio and TV stations and is active as a piano and music instructor in New York City.

Mirna attended primary music school in Sarajevo and in 1994 continued her studies in New York with Lidia Boguslavsky. She graduated with honors from the Eastman School of Music as a student of Douglas Humpherys, and subsequently completed a Master’s Degree at the Mannes College of Music in the class of Arkady Aronov and Irina Morozova. She also received instruction from Norma Fisher, Pavlina Dokovska, Deirdre O'Donohue, Vladimir Valjarević and Sara Davis Buechner and has participated in master classes with Vladimir Feltsman, Vladimir Shakin, Philippe Entremont, Pedro Carbone, and Nelita True.
